Eisenbehandlung mit Eisencarboxymaltose (ferinject<sup>®</sup>) in Betracht zu ziehen.<sup>2</sup> Entscheidend für die explizite Empfehlung von Eisencarboxymaltose (ferinject<sup>®</sup>) waren die Daten zweier randomisierter, doppelblinder, placebokontrollierter klinischer Studien.<sup>6,7</sup> </p> <p> In einer Metaanalyse von vier randomisierten, kontrollierten Studien konnte gezeigt werden, dass ein intravenöser Ausgleich des Eisenmangels im Vergleich zur Placebogruppe die Hospitalisierungs- und Mortaliätsrate verringern konnte.<sup>8</sup> </p> <p> Der Stellenwert von Eisencarboxymaltose zur Korrektur des Eisenmangels wird ebenfalls von der EFFECT-HF Studie<sup>9</sup> untermauert. Hier konnte gezeigt werden, dass die körperliche Leistungsfähigkeit bei CHI-Patienten mit Eisenmangel unter i.v. Eisencarboxymaltose im Vergleich zur Standardtherapie erhalten bleibt.<sup>9</sup> </p> <h3 style="font-family:Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif;font-size: 14px;color:#005CA9;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;"> Gute Verträglichkeit </h3> <p> Eisencarboxymaltose zur intravenösen Eisensubstitution ist gut verträglich und zeichnet sich durch eine hohe Komplexstabilität aus, die die Gabe von hohen Dosierungen innerhalb kurzer Zeit ermöglicht<sup>11</sup> (1.000 mg initial innerhalb 15 Minuten, plus 30 Minuten Nachbeobachtungszeit<sup>10</sup>).
