Nach Angaben der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (World Health Organization, WHO) leiden circa 55 Prozent aller Krebspatienten unter Schmerzen, die entweder durch einen Tumor direkt oder durch dessen Behandlung verursacht werden. In fortgeschrittenen Stadien sind es sogar bis zu 70 Prozent.</p> <p>Im Februar hat die WHO eine neue Leitlinie zur Behandlung von Tumorschmerzen bei Erwachsenen und Jugendlichen verabschiedet. Das Dokument richtet sich an Mediziner, Pflegekräfte, Angehörige und auch an Apotheker. Nach Angaben der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (World Health Organization, WHO) leiden circa 55 Prozent aller Krebspatienten unter Schmerzen, die entweder durch einen Tumor direkt oder durch dessen Behandlung verursacht werden. In fortgeschrittenen Stadien sind es sogar bis zu 70 Prozent.</p> <p>Im Februar hat die WHO eine neue Leitlinie zur Behandlung von Tumorschmerzen bei Erwachsenen und Jugendlichen verabschiedet. Das Dokument richtet sich an Mediziner, Pflegekräfte, Angehörige und auch an Apotheker.
