Das Immunsystem des Körpers bekämpft die Erreger, es kommt zu einer Entzündungsreaktion. Dabei wird Eiter gebildet, der u. a. aus Immunzellen und Bakterien besteht. Diese Abkapselungen von Eiter nennt man Abszess. Diese können in ganz unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen auftreten. Symptome sind schmerzhafte Rötungen und Schwellungen sowie sichtbarer Eiter. Abszesse können generell überall im Körper vorkommen, z.
