Der Start des E-Rezeptes war bzw. ist teil­weise sehr holprig und funktioniert nicht so einwand­frei, wie von der Politik gedacht. Neben formal falsch ausge­stellten Rezepten (z. B. fehlende oder fehler­hafte Arzt­be­zeichnung oder drei Arznei­mittel in einer Verordnung) und Fehlern in den Praxis­soft­ware­systemen, die dazu führen, dass die Mengen­angabe nicht auf den Verordnungen ange­zeigt werden kann, bereiten vor allem auch die regel­mäßigen Aus­fälle der TI den Apotheken­teams Kopf­schmerzen.
