Mai wies die Landes­apotheker­kammer Hessen in einer Presse­information auf die Bedeutung von Apothekern bei der Beratung von Patienten hin, die Antihypertonika ein­nehmen und in der Selbst­medikation nicht verschrei­bungs­pflichtige Schmerz­mittel einnehmen. Der Apotheker trägt hier die Verantwortung, gemeinsam mit dem Patienten das geeignete Schmerz­mittel in sinnvoller Dosierung auszuwählen, das zur bestehenden Blut­hoch­druck­therapie passt. Dabei ist der Hinweis wichtig, dass die Einnahme nur kurzfristig für maximal drei bis vier Tage erfolgen soll.
