Um eine Infektion vorzubeugen, sollte auf ausreichende Hygienemaßnahmen geachtet und bei Verdacht auf eine Infektion Kindertagestätten, Kindergärten und Schulen gemieden werden. Eine Impfung ist bisher nicht vorhanden, Risikogruppen (Frühgeborene, Kinder mit Vorerkrankungen) können mit dem monoklonalen Antikörper Palivizumab eine passive Immunisierung erhalten. Um eine Infektion vorzubeugen, sollte auf ausreichende Hygienemaßnahmen geachtet und bei Verdacht auf eine Infektion Kindertagestätten, Kindergärten und Schulen gemieden werden. Eine Impfung ist bisher nicht vorhanden, Risikogruppen (Frühgeborene, Kinder mit Vorerkrankungen) können mit dem monoklonalen Antikörper Palivizumab eine passive Immunisierung erhalten.
