Die 10-prozentigen Ohren­tropfen sind als Standard­rezeptur 16.5. im NRF zu finden. Als Basis wird Dimethyl­sulfoxid und zur Stabilisierung Butylhydroxytoluol verwendet. Ohne Zugabe des Antioxidans würde sich die Lösung gelb verfärben. Dem NRF liegen nun neue Stabilitäts­daten vor, die die Stabilität über ein Jahr statt wie vorher über 6 Monate begründen.
