B. im Rahmen von Rabattverträgen, relevant ist:</p> <ul> <li><span><b>Innovator-Produkte</b> dienen als Referenzarzneimittel für die Entwicklung eines Biosimilars. Ihre Zulassung erfolgte aufgrund einer vollständigen präklinischen und klinischen Dokumentation (Beispiel: Remicade<sup>®</sup>). </span></li> <li><span><b>Biosimilars</b> sind biotechnologisch hergestellte Nachahmerprodukte eines nicht mehr patentgeschützten Biologicals (Beispiel: Flixabi<sup>®</sup>). Anders als bei klassischen Generika weisen Biosimilars stets Unterschiede zum Original auf, z. B. weil bei der Herstellung unterschiedliche Organismen zum Einsatz kommen. Der Wirkstoff eines Biosimilars ist also nicht komplett identisch zum Original, was im Vergleich zu Generika aufwendigere Zulassungsverfahren und Überwachungsmaßnahmen erforderlich macht. </span></li> <li><span><b>Bioidenticals</b> sind biotechnologisch hergestellte Arzneimittel, bei denen der Herstellungsprozess unter identischen Bedingungen abläuft, sodass auch der gewonnene Wirkstoff identisch ist.
